Water is the source of life; yet today, for millions of people across the globe, accessing clean water is a luxury, while contaminated water poses a fatal threat. As the Mübeşşir Association, we provide a lifeline to humanity by opening water wells in regions gripped by drought, inadequate infrastructure, and geographical misfortunes. For us, opening a water well is not just a drilling operation; it is about changing the grim fate of a village, offering children a healthy future, and restoring life to parched lands.
Why is it Important?: Contaminated water sources are the leading cause of fatal epidemics such as cholera, typhoid, and dysentery. Especially in rural parts of Africa and South Asia, women and children walk miles every single day just to carry muddy and microbe-ridden water back home. This reality prevents children from receiving an education and keeps women from participating in social and economic life. Every water well opened eradicates epidemics, allows children to attend school, and enables small-scale agricultural activities to begin in the region.
How Do We Implement It? (Permanence & Sustainability):
Regional Analysis: Accurate locations are identified where water is most urgently needed, where underground water quality is suitable, and where depth analyses have been thoroughly conducted.
Modern & Durable Construction: Drilling reaches deep into the clean and sweet groundwater layers, avoiding shallow surface water. Wells are built with durable reinforced concrete structures and modern pump/faucet systems to serve for many years.
Sadaqah Jariyah (Continuous Charity): A signpost bearing the name of our donor (or the deceased in whose memory the donation is made) is placed at the well. Opening video footages are presented to the donor. Periodic maintenance of the wells is tracked by our association and local teams to guarantee longevity.
